• HIS EXCELLENCY AHMED ALI AL SAYEGH

    MINISTER OF STATE (UAE) AND CHAIRMAN OF ABU DHABI GLOBAL MARKET

    H.E. Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh has been appointed as Minister of State to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Cabinet in September 2018 and is the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).  With three decades of international experience and business leadership, H.E Al Sayegh supports the government actively in initiatives and efforts that drive the nation’s economic diversification plans and the sustainable future of the UAE.  

    As Chairman of ADGM, H.E Al Sayegh oversees the growth of ADGM as one of the world’s leading International Financial Centres anchored in Abu Dhabi. He had also served in several key capacities including as the former founding Chairman of Aldar Properties, the founding Chairman of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), Deputy Chairman of First Gulf Bank, and held senior positions in Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Abu Dhabi Investment Company (Invest AD).

    H.E. Al Sayegh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lewis & Clark College, USA.

  • MOHAMED AL QUBAISI

    Vice Chairman

    Over the last 15 years, Mr Al Qubaisi has left his mark in several areas for the UAE government entities, such as Strategy & Policy Planning, Economic Development and Projects Services.

    In addition to being Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Global Market, Mr Al Qubaisi is also currently a Director at the Office of His Highness Vice Chairman of the Executive Council, where he has been instrumental in providing strategic economic and fiscal policy advice.

    Mr Al Qubaisi holds a Master in Science of International Business from Zayed University and a Master in Business Administration from New York Institute of Technology.

  • HIS EXCELLENCY MOHAMED DARWISH AL KHOORI

    Board Member

    HE Mohamed Darwish Al Khoori has worked for Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) for 25 years and is currently the Executive Director of the Internal Equities department at ADIA.

    In addition to his role at ADIA, Mr Al Khoori is a member of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman & Emirates Investment Holding Company (OEIHC). In addition, Mr Al Khoori is a member of the Board of Directors of the Financial Corporation Company (FINCORP) and the Chairman of the Audit Committee (FINCORP).

    Mr Al Khoori holds a BA in Business Administration from Siena Heights University, Michigan, USA, and has attended the Executive Management Programme at Harvard Business School.

  • HIS EXCELLENCY ALI MAJED AL MANSOORI

    Board Member

    HE Ali Majed Al Mansoori is a member of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi and the Executive Director at the office of the Vice Chairman at the Executive Council.

    In addition, Mr Al Mansoori holds several high profile positions; including the Chairman of the Department of Economic Development and the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports Company, member of the Audit Committee at Abu Dhabi Investment Council, as well as a Board member of Al Hilal Bank and Aldar Properties.

    Mr Al Mansoori had previously held several high level positions; including the Director of External Equities Europe at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and Deputy Director at External Funds-America.

    Mr Al Mansoori holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Warner Pacific University USA, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

  • HIS EXCELLENCY EBRAHIM OBAID AL ZAABI

    Board Member

    HE Ebrahim Obaid Al Zaabi is the Director General (CEO) of the Insurance Authority of UAE, and represents the UAE on the Board of the GCC Accounting & Auditing Organization. Mr Al Zaabi is also a member of the UAE Committee to Review Defaults of Public Shareholding Companies.

    Previously, Mr Al Zaabi was the Deputy CEO for Issuance, Research and Legal Affairs at Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA), as well as a Board Member of Insurance Authority until 2011. In addition, he has held the membership of various committees between SCA, the Ministry of Economy and the Central Bank of UAE.

    Earlier in his career, Mr Al Zaabi was the Fund Manager for the global commodities portfolio of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.

    Mr Al Zaabi is a graduate from California State University.
