    ADGM issues alert concerning misleading claims made by New Financial Technology Ltd

    ADGM FSRA: 20 September 2024

    The Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) would like to alert the financial services community and members of the public about misleading claims made by New Financial Technology Ltd. (“NFT”) in relation to a purported investment fund named the “NFT Fund”.

    It has come to the attention of the FSRA that NFT has falsely claimed to potential investors, both directly, and in marketing documents and videos published on various social media websites that NFT is in the process of obtaining a Financial Services Permission from the ADGM FSRA and that the NFT Fund is established in ADGM.

    These claims are false.

    The FSRA advises the public that:
    • NFT is not and has never been:
      • authorised by the FSRA to carry on any form of Regulated Activity in or
        from ADGM, nor has it applied to the FSRA for such authorisation; or
      • incorporated in ADGM or licensed to undertake any form of commercial activities in ADGM;
    • NFT Fund is not and has never been established as an Investment Fund in ADGM.
    To determine if:
    • an entity has been granted a Financial Services Permission by the FSRA to carry on Regulated Activities in or from ADGM; or
    • an ADGM Collective Investment Fund has been notified to the FSRA

    The FSRA advises the financial services community and members of the public to exercise caution when contacted by any entity that purports to be licensed to undertake Regulated Activities in ADGM unless and until the entity's regulated status can be confirmed by checking the FSRA's Public Register.
